How to Use the System Restore Point

To access System Restore and bring your PC to a previous state, please do the following:
For Windows XP:
- Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools.
- Select System Restore.
- Select Restore my computer to an earlier time and click Next.
- In the left calendar, select a bold date.
- In the right list, select a restore point.
- Click the Next button.
- Click Next again. This will restart your PC.
- After restarting, you will see a confirmation screen. Click OK to continue using your PC.
For Windows Vista and 7:
- Click the Windows Start button.
- Type system restore, then press the Enter key.
- In the System Restore window, click Next.
- Select a restore point, click Next.
- Click Finish.
- In the confirmation window, click Yes.
For Windows 8, 8.1, 10 and 11:
- Right-click the Windows Start button and select Run.
- Type control panel, then press the Enter key.
- Click the drop-down menu button next to View by, select either Small icons or Large icons, then click Recovery.
- Click Open System Restore.
- In the System Restore window, click Next.
- Select a restore point, click Next.
- Click Finish.
- In the confirmation window, click Yes.
