Show Filename Extensions in Windows XP

To show filename extensions in Windows XP:
- Click the Windows Start button, then select My Computer.
- In the My Computer window, click the Tools tab and select Folder Options.
- In the Folder Options window, click the View tab.
- Under Advanced settings, unmark the checkbox for Hide extensions for known file types.
- Click the Apply button, then click the OK button.
- Check if the filename extensions have appeared in your files.
