To make file extension visible in Windows 11:

1. Open File Explorer.
   
   
2. In File Explorer, click the Layout and views option button.
   
   
   
   
3. In the pop-up menu, select Show, and then click File name extensions.
   
   
   
   
4. Check all your files and it should show their filename extensions (.docx. .gz, .zip, etc).
