Last Updated 2 years ago
To create a system restore point in Windows 11:
- Click the Windows Start button, then type: create a restore point
- Under Best match, click Create a restore point.
- In the System Properties window that shows up, click the Create button.
Note: If the Protection for the drive containing the Windows installation shows Off, click the Configure button first to activate the protection, and then create a restore point. - Next, type a name for your restore point, then click Create.
Use a descriptive name that will help you remember why this restore point was created.
In addition to creating back-ups, creating restore points before doing a big update is a must. You will be able to restore back to the selected restore point when you experience system issues on later dates.
