DriverFinder is extremely easy to activate once you have your License ID and Password. All you have to do is:
- Click the License button.
- Enter your License ID and Password in the spaces provided, then click Activate.
After this, all program features will be unlocked, and the download speed will be maximized.
Note: activation on the program requires an Internet connection.
Following are few things you can do to troubleshoot any registration issues.
Solution #1: Check that you have typed your License ID and Password correctly.
Your License ID and Password are case sensitive so please make sure you are typing them correctly. Also, please note that Passwords are alpha-numeric so please ensure that any “0” are typed in as zeroes, any “o” is typed as a letter, etc.
Check too that there are no spaces before and after the License ID and Password.
Tip: use the Windows Copy + Paste option to copy the license details from the email.
Solution #2: Uninstall-Reboot-Install-Activate
Sometimes, repeatedly trying to activate your copy of DriverFinder causes a license file-checking conflict with our server. In this case, please uninstall-restart-install-activate.

- Restart your PC.
- Download and install the latest DriverFinder version: Download DriverFinder
- Activate your license.
Solution #3: Check your Internet connection settings.
Check that you are connected to the Internet. Open your web browser and try to access various websites, including www.driverfinderpro.com, and see if the sites load properly. If not, wait a few minutes before you try and activate DriverFinder.
If your Internet connection problem persists, please contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP).
Solution #4: Ensure your PC is logged in as the Administrator.
NOTE: If you do not have Administrator rights, login as the PC Administrator. If you don’t know how to do this, ask the person who set up your PC to give you Admin rights so you can activate DriverFinder and download and install the latest drivers.
Solution #5:Ensure your Windows firewall is not blocking DriverFinder.
- For Windows XP
- Click the Windows Button > Control Panel.
- In the Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connections and then click Network Connections.
- Right-click your active connection and then click Properties.
- Click on the Advanced tab, then click Settings under Windows Firewall.
- Click the Exceptions tab and click the Add Program button.
- Click the Browse button and select the DriverFinder installer.
- Click OK twice.
- Install DriverFinder.
- For Windows Vista and 7:
- Click the Windows Button > Control Panel.
- In Control Panel, click System and Security and then click Windows Firewall.
- In the left-side pane, click Allow a program or feature through Windows Firewall.
- Click the Allow another program button.
- Click the Browse button and select the DriverFinder setup file.
- Click the Add button.
- Install DriverFinder.
- For Windows 8/8.1, 10 and 11:
- Right-click the Windows Start button, on the popup menu, and select Run.
- In the Run window, type the control panel and then click the OK button.
- In the Control Panel, click System and Security and then click Windows Defender Firewall.
- In the left-side pane, click Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall.
- Click the Change settings button, then click the Allow another app button.
- Click the Browse button, select the DriverFinder setup file, and then click the Add button.
- Install DriverFinder.
If you are using a different firewall than Windows (or any other Internet security software), pls. ensure DriverFinder is made an exception there.
